Welcome to the 2024 - 25 School Year!
We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer.
Our custodians and maintenance staff have been working hard over the summer to get our school ready for the upcoming school year. Thank you for all of your great work!
The office is open this week (August 19 - 23) and next week (August 26 - August 30) from 8:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (except for Wednesday, August 28th - the office will be closed on this day).
We have some staffing changes to share with you. Lady Grey would like to welcome Mme Caroline LeClair (Grade 7 French Immersion), Ms. Nicole Haugland (Learning Services and one day a week opposite Ms. Vaillancourt), Mrs. Emina Beauchamp (two days a week as Teacher Librarian) and Ms. Kiah Davidson (Elementary School Counselor). We would also like to welcome Ms. Chelsea Seabrook and Ms. Emily King who will be joining us as EA's for this year.
Also, we would like to welcome the following staff members back to Lady Grey: Mr. Beauchamp (Vice Principal and Prep), Ms. Putney (Grade 4/5), Mr. Hein (Grade 4/5), Mme Arlt (Grade 4 French Immerison), Mme Lambert (Grade 5/6 French Immersion), Mme Smith (Grade 5/6 French Immersion and Teacher Librarian), Mme Siobhan (Grade 5/6 French Immersion), Ms. Sinclair (Grade 5/6), Ms. Vaillancourt (Grade 6/7), Mr. Richard (Grade 6/7), and Ms. Whitaker (Learning Services). Other returning staff include Mrs. McMullan (Indigenous Education Support Worker), Ms. Monique Brown (Youth Care Worker), Ms. Kotilla (EA), Ms. Kanova (EA), Ms. Williams (EA), Ms. Hall (EA), and Ms. Winslow (NHS).
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd. School will be in session from 10am -12pm. Buses will be picking up students one hour later than normal in the morning, and will be departing LGES at 12:15pm to return students home. On this day, students will be returning to their class from last year, and grade 4 students will meet in the gym. Please do not send school supplies with students on this day.
Our first full day of school is on Wednesday, September 4th. School starts at 9am and we dismiss at 3:06pm. Lunch is from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Students eat from 12:00 - 12:20pm and are outside from 12:20 - 12:58pm.
