Principal's Message

Welcome to Lady Grey Elementary.

I would like to acknowledge that we are located on the unceded traditional lands of the Ktunaxa and Secwepemc Peoples, and the home of the Métis Nation Columbia River Society. I hope that my actions on these homelands will honour the ancestors and our partnership towards reconciliation.

Located in the picturesque town of Golden, British Columbia, Lady Grey Elementary is a grade 4 to 7 school with a population of about 240 students.

At Lady Grey, we value inclusiveness, our environment, being physically active, teamwork, community, creativity, honesty, trust, responsibility and kindness. We promote student leadership and encourage students to participate in the various clubs offered at school such as Youth Take Charge, Student Lighthouse, Softball, and School Store.

Lady Grey's Mission

Lady Grey Elementary fosters a safe, respectful, collaborative community that empowers and nurtures lifelong learners and leaders.

Lady Grey Elementary offre un environnement sécurisant, respectueux et collaboratif qui développe et favorise l'autonomie et le leadership d'élèves en apprentissage continu.

Lady Grey Elementary School offers a mid-entry French Immersion Program, which begins in Grade 4 and continues through Grade 12 Graduation with a Bilingual Dogwood Certificate. In Grade 4, students are taught primarily in their new language; as students progress through subsequent grades, the percentage of English instruction increases.

Parental involvement is imperative for creating positive school community and for enhancing student learning. Please take the time to connect with, and get to know your child's teacher. I encourage parents to become involved with the school's Parent Advisory Council. They meet on the first Monday of the month at 12:30pm in the school library.

I learn, I lead, We Succeed at Lady Grey

J'apprends,  Je mène, Nous réussissons à Lady Grey
